Code of ethics

As members of the TBRCC we have committed to and fully believe in their code of ethics. The code of ethics (available HERE in full) is 100% centred around the cats’ welfare and is non negotiable. It mandates the below

• Every cat/kitten should be in excellent health when leaving the household or cattery.

• The Kitten must have 2 vaccinations and a health check performed by a Vet at 9 and 12 weeks. No kitten to go to their new home for seven days after vaccination and in good health

• A Kitten must be micro chipped and the chip number must be on vaccination record card

• All breeders MUST allow all prospective purchasers to view kittens under 6 months old interacting with their mother in

their place of birth.

• Provide 4 weeks free insurance for the kittens for their new owners

• provide the new owner with guidelines for feeding, grooming and raising a Ragdoll.

• Encourage the new owner to contact them should they need any help or advice

• All breeders must pro-actively assist in the rehoming of cats that they breed if an owner can no longer keep the cats for the

whole of that cats lifetime.

• Provide a 3 generation pedigree (parents, grandparents and great grandparents), complete with breed and registration numbers, at the time the cat/kitten leaves home together with a registration card.
